Medical Dermatology

Narrowband UVB (NB-UVB) phototherapy is a non-invasive treatment for chronic skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, or even stubborn itching (pruritus).

NB-UVB therapy emits a specific wavelength of UV light that reduces inflammation, slows abnormal skin cell growth, and helps restore pigment.

Psoriasis: Helps clear plaques and reduces flare-ups.

Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis): Minimizes itch and redness without causing thinning of the skin like steroids.

Vitiligo: Encourages melanocyte stimulation to re-pigment skin.

Pruritus: Relieves chronic itching from kidney disease, liver conditions, or other causes.

Unlike oral immunosuppressants or biologic injections, NB-UVB has no systemic side effects, making it an excellent choice for patients who want to avoid the risks associated with long-term medication use.

NB-UVB is also safe for pregnant women, children, and immunocompromised patients under proper medical supervision.

Supervised & Customized Treatment at a Professional Office

Receiving phototherapy at our dermatologists’ office ensures that the dosage and exposure are carefully controlled to maximize results while minimizing risks.

Unlike at-home devices, which may lack precision, we tailor your sessions to your skin type and specific condition. You receive regular monitoring for progress and any potential side effects, ensuring a safe treatment experience.

Convenient, Cost-Effective, with Proven Long-Term Benefits

Unlike expensive biologic treatments, NB-UVB therapy is often covered by insurance and requires only 2-3 sessions per week. Treatments take just a few minutes, making them easy to fit into a busy schedule.

NB-UVB phototherapy provides lasting improvement for many skin conditions. With consistent treatment, patients often experience remission periods, reducing their reliance on medications and improving overall skin health.

Skin Cancers and Surgical Dermatology

Skin cancer screenings help early detection of melanoma, if you are prone to it in your family, if you spend a lot of time in the sun, and others.

A lesion called actinic keratosis is a precursor to squamous cell carcinoma. We use Cryosurgery to target one or sometimes several. If pre-cancerous changes are extensive, we treat multiple actinic keratoses with non-invasive Photodynamic Therapy that uses a light-activated medication administered beforehand.

Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are more developed cases of skin cancer. Because we want to preserve as much healthy tissue as possible, we use Mohs Micrographic Surgery, layer by layer of your skin, to remove cancerous tissue. Excisional surgery, along with systemic medications and radiation, may be necessary in pronounced cases.

Cosmetic Dermatology

HydraFacial leaves skin glowing and refreshed with a process of cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating your skin. Skin Rejuvenation treatments improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity. They address fine lines, sun damage, and uneven pigmentation. For clearer, brighter skin with minimal downtime, we use noninvasive IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to treat sun damage, redness, and pigmentation.

If you're starting to develop crow's feet or laugh lines, or other "dynamic wrinkles" on your body because of repeated movements, Botox smooths skin with natural-looking results in one afternoon. To restore volume and contour, or even add to them, especially in the lips and under the eyes, dermal fillers may be your solution.

Thinning hair? No hair at all? A consult for restoring your hair offers many options for Hair Restoration, especially PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). On the other hand, Laser Hair Removal delivers results that last for smooth, hair-free skin on virtually any body area.

We lose collagen as we age, especially in the face, for a dry, wrinkly appearance. We use Fraxel Dual Laser to stimulate collagen for deeper skin concerns like scarring, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. Minimally invasive SkinPen Microneedling treats scars, fine lines, and uneven texture for natural healing and increased collagen production.
